Este es el primer viaje que hago 'sola', bueno, allí me esperan un par de amigos (a los que voy a visitar y aprovechamos para hacer turismo por lugares que ellos tampoco han visitado).
Dado que es mi primer viaje al extranjero sin gente que se ocupe de mi (léase mis padres) quiero llevar todo lo más atado y planeado posible, evitar sorpresas desagradables que puedan ponerme más nerviosa (si es posible). La parte que peor llevo es la correspondiente a los traslados del y al aeropuerto, así que me propuse llevar todo bien cerrado, los billetes pagados, más de una copia de cada... pero mi gozo en un pozo.
Ayer fui a sacar el último billete que necesitaba, que es el del autobús que me llevará desde Milton Keynes hasta el aeropuerto de Stansted. Hora: 9.30 am. Día: 8 de junio. Compañía: National express. Como veis todo al milímetro. Pues nai nai. Cuadno fui a hacer mi compra del billete por internet, y después de rellenar todos los datos, pulsé aceptar y la web me hizo un bonito corte de mangas. No puedo comprar el billete. No especifica el porqué, solo dice que es posible que sea por la tarjeta con la que trato de pagar (tarjeta con la que he pagado todo lo demás). ¿Es posible que no me deje hacer la compra desde el extranjero?
Así que, aquí me hallo, inquieta y ansiosa porque no tengo el billete del último autobús que tengo que tomar. Supongo que podré comprarlo en la estación de autobuses el mismo día de la salida pero… y si no me dejan? Y si está completo? No puedo perder ese autobús porque eso me haría perder el vuelo y quedarme allí en medio de ‘nada’, sola, asustada… Algunos pensareis que estoy exagerando, que seguro que todo sale bien, pero odio dejar ese tipo de cosas al azar, más si se trata de un país que no conozco. Así que ahora tengo una sensación pésima, que miedo me da me pueda estropear el resto de los días. Así que mi mente trabaja en alternativas. Hacer planes es una mierda.

As it’s my first travel abroad without anybody taking care of me (read My parents) I wanna go with everything as planned as possible, avoiding unpleasant surprises that can make me feel more nervous (if possible). The worse part for me is the one related with transfers from/to the airport, so I planned to have everything ready, the tickets paid, more than one copy… but my hopes were dashed!
Yesterday y tried to buy the last ticket y need, the one of the bus from Milton Keynes to Stansted Airport. Time: 9.30. Day: 8th June. Company: National Express. As you can see, everything is deliberated. But NO. When I was to buy it, after introduce all the information, I click ‘buy’ and the web made me showed me middle finger. I can’t buy the tickets. It didn’t say why, only that it was impossible because of the target I’m trying to pay with (the same I have pay all the rest with). Is it possible that I can’t cause I’m trying to make it from abroad?
So, here I am, worried and anxious because y have not the ticket of the last bus y have to take. I suppose I will be able to buy it in the bus station the same day but… if I’m not allowed? If the bus is full? If I lose that bus, I will lose the flight and I will be alone there, in middle of nowhere… some of you may be thinking I’m exaggerating too much, that for sure everything will go fine, but I hate leaving things to chance more if it is in a country I don’t know. I have know a horrible sensation that I’m afraid can ruin the rest of my holidays. So my mind is working now on thinking about alternatives. Making plans sucks.

En muchos casos las páginas internas británicas no permiten el pago con tarjeta extranjera, yo he tenido algún problema aún tenía mi VISA española.
ResponderEliminarNo te preocupes porque el billete lo puedes comprar en la ventanilla de National Express en el aeropuerto/estación o directamente al propio conductor (si lo compras al conductor, tienes que esperarte a la última para entrar, primero pasan los que tienen billete). El autobús no estará lleno, te lo aseguro, pero aunque estuviera, no es problema para que te vendan el billete. Yo he viajado de pie en el National Express en trayecto Stansted-Cambridge en más de una ocasión.

ResponderEliminarla verdad es que me quitas bastante peso de encima. Voy a intentar que me lo compre una amiga que tengo allí, pero bueno, si ella no puede, es de agradecer que te expliquen porque es... ya empezaba a pensar q me tenian mania sin conocerme...jajajaja
Se que es "organizar viajes" e intentar tenerlo todo atado (yo tb soy de esas, el azar a veces es mal :p) pero bueno a ver si puedes conseguir ese billete a través de esa amiga tuya y listos. ¡Un besote y buen viaje! Por cierto por esas fechas yo tb viajaré aunque algo más cerquita... ¡me voy a Toledo!
